ThE Team

I will attach a breakdown:
Fifth grade is an exciting time for students. It is a time of transition and a time of change. Unlike in fourth grade, where one teacher taught all the subjects, several teachers are responsible for subjects in fifth grade.
This implies that a child transitioning to middle school should be prepared to encounter different teachers. More teachers means adapting to different styles, different expectations, and different personalities. Did I mention the word different?
This requires your child to be adaptable to change. If this is something that your child struggles with, starting the conversation now about how she/he might prepare for multiple teachers (and sets of expectations and personalities) can help. Please remember that if you can always reach out to Mrs. Allen (school guidance counselor) or your child's teacher(s) with any concerns.
