Mrs. Cote
Family
I grew up in Rhode Island, the eldest of four daughters. My husband, Michael, and I live in Bellingham, Massachusetts with our twin 13-year old sons, Samuel and Zachary. I attended high school in the Foster-Glocester Regional School District. Having three sisters was always an experience. When I was younger I found them annoying but now that I'm all grown up, they are truly my best friends!
Mr. Cote serves full time in the Massachusetts Army National Guard. He enjoys watching and playing sports, bowling, and spending time with his family. He can often be found outside or down in the playroom with Sam and Zachary.
Sam and Zachary will be headed into eighth grade this year, which is unbelievable to me (where does the time go?). We feel very blessed because the boys attend school right here, in Mendon. Sam likes school because he gets to see his friends (his words) but he is most happy playing outside. Sam enjoys all sports. Zachary really enjoys sports, too. His favorite is football. This fall, the boys will once again play flag football and hopefully run cross-country again!
Our family are all HUGE Patriots fans (Tom Brady broke our hearts. And then made it worse when he brought Gronk with him.) When not hanging out with their friends, or playing sports, both boys love spending time with their family, especially their aunts and cousins!

Education
I attended Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island where I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and American Studies. I then received my Masters Degree in Education from Salem State University.
My journey through the Mendon-Upton Regional School district has been a long and winding path. I began my career with the district as a Regular Education Academic Tutor. The following year I moved into a third grade teaching position- at Clough Elementary!
My third year in the district (second year of teaching) saw my move to teaching fifth grade at Miscoe Hill. Although teaching fifth grade was not in my plans I absolutely loved it! I learned so much while teaching fifth grade - and I truly enjoyed the age of the students! However, After two years of teaching fifth grade I moved back to third grade. After a brief stint in second grade, I was happy to be back to the grade where it all began- third grade! Six years ago, it was time another turn on the road of my teaching career .... I was off to teach fourth grade!
Now, after 12 years away from Miscoe, I have come back to the grade that I love! I love teaching new topics and I look forward to exploring new books in fifth grade. It's going to be an AMAZING year!
